Revitalization of history
What is it that makes our history so important? One of the things that makes it important is that we must continue to retell our history and we must continue to focus on the people who have done something good for our society, so that we can continue to remind each other of, what is the good and what is the right way.
How should we convey the story, even if the story is mostly the same, the ways we can convey it will be different. You have always been able to search for knowledge in our libraries and today also on the internet, but with Talking Statues we want to take what already exists and in a simple way add something new, so that the expression is refreshed and revitalised. With this revitalisation we want to capture a new audience and engage people in the public space in their wonder about the statues
Talking Statues offer a new and different way of telling stories about people out in the public space, and it is through our interest in history and communication that the idea for Talking Statues arose. Through the project, we use something that already exists, namely the statues, but add it is a new element that they can speak and through that we create new law and new interest. By letting the statue speak, they become alive and narrating and there history for new interest.
There are many obvious reasons for trying to make a talking statues project. One of the most important things is that we have so many years of experience with it now that we are both good at developing and guiding, so that it fits in all places and in all cultures.
